报告人Tung-Tien Sun (孫同天)教授简介：
孙同天教授关于‘科学研究方法’的专题讲座时间为半天，此次讲座选其中二个题目，中文讲授，时间为3学时。作为研究生和博士后的培训课程，孙教授每年都在纽约地区（包括New York University, Columbia, Cornell, Einstein, Mt Sinai and Rockefeller等学校）讲授这一专题课。此外还在美国以及 Spain, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and China等地30多所大学讲授过这门课，很多本科生和教师也参加听课，教学效果极佳。
孙教授是北京大学生命科学学院的客座教授，自1992年起，在我校五次讲授这一专题课程，规模最大的一次为时二天，400多人参加，受到很高的评价。部分讲课内容刊载于Nature Reviews Molecular.Cell Biology,Vol 5,July ,577-581,2004。

1982-present New York University School of Medicine, currently Rudolf Baer Professor of Dermatology, and Professor of Cell Biology, Pharmacology and Urology Research Accomplishments:
Dr Sun has established keratins as epithelial differentiation markers; identified corneal and hair follicular epithelial stem cells; and discovered uroplakins as major urothelial differentiation products. He has published over 200 scientific papers in scientific journals including Cell (7), J Cell Biol (21)，PNAS (7)，J. Biol Chem (11), Cancer Res (9), , Nature (1), and Science (1). H-index 69.
Teaching:
Dr Sun developed a course on “Science Methods: Survival skills for young biomedical researchers” that is offered every year, in the form of a whole day workshop, to students and postdocs of all New York City schools including New York University, Columbia, Cornell, Einstein, Mt Sinai and Rockefeller with 200-300 attendants (see Lab website). He has given this workshop and related lectures in over 30 universities in the US, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and China.
