On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to attend the 11^th International Conference on the Frontiers of Plant Biology (FPB): “From Fundamental to Translational Research” to be held in Shanghai, China on October 18^th-21^st, 2013.

FPB has been a series of high-level international conferences, providing a platform for Chinese and overseas plant biologists to share their research advances and new approaches and to facilitate collaborations in the forefront of plant biology. Traditionally, FBP conferences have a relatively small number of participants to facilitate discussions and exchange of ideas.

The 11^th FPB Conference will cover the most exciting areas in plant stress responses, plant pathogen interactions, plant signal transduction, mechanisms of plant development, and epigenetic regulation. The Conference program includes presentations of original work in the form of keynote lectures, plenary talks, and posters. Outstanding scientists at the early stage of their career are particularly encouraged to attend and share their recent findings in poster presentations at the conference.

This year, the meeting will be held at the scenic Sheshan Resort in the suburb of Shanghai which is near the newly founded Shanghai Center for Plant Stress Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The site is only 20 minutes from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and within 40 minutes from the city center of Shanghai. It is also not very far from the scenic ancient town of Wuzhen and the well-known city of Hangzhou.
