PTEN is a potent tumor suppressor. In human cancer, PTEN function is frequently suppressed by mutation and deletion of its gene. On the other hand, as a master regulator of various biological processes, the function of PTEN also needs to be closely regulated posttranslationally. This seminar will focus on the study of posttranslational regulation of PTEN, as well as the novel function of PTEN revealed by such study.
