摘  要:
Protein electrostatics is central to biomolecular function. In this talk, I will present recent advances in modeling electrostatics in proteins, with a focus on machine learning approaches for pKa value prediction. I will then discuss applications to ion channels, highlighting how electrostatic interactions shape functional properties. These examples illustrate how improved understanding and modeling of protein electrostatics can provide mechanistic insight into complex biological systems.
报告人简介:

Ana Damjanovic is an Assistant Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University, working in computational biophysics. Her research focuses on protein electrostatics and its role in biomolecular function, including the development of methods for pKa prediction and studies of ion channel mechanisms.
