Short Summary：

"Altered metabolism in human tumors was first recognized more than 80 years ago, probably representing the first tumor phenotype, and has been broadly used in clinical for detection. The molecular basis and pathophysiological significance, however, remain unclear. The interest in tumor metabolism was renewed recently in part by the discovery that eight genes encoding for subunits of four distinct metabolic enzymes are mutated in various types of human malignancies. I will discuss two aspects on tumor metabolism; one on the acetylation regulation of metabolism enzymes and the other on the epigenetic control by oncometabolites.
