Dr. Katja Brose, PhD, received her undergraduate degrees in Biology and History from Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island, USA). Dr. Brose received her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California-San Franciscos (San Francisco, CA, USA) where she conducted research on axon guidance and neural development in the laboratory of Dr. Marc Tessier-Lavigne. She joined Cell Press in 2000 as a Senior Editor at Neuron and was appointed Editor in Chief of Neuron in 2004. Dr. Brose is also the Executive Editor of the Cell Press Neuroscience portfolio, which includes the reviews journals Trends in Cognitive Sciences and Trends in Neurosciences.
