Ganli Pharmaceutical held a biomedical industry meeting and expo in the Golden Light Life Sciences Building. The event featured Fuming Xu, Executive Director of R&D at Ganli Pharmaceutical; Zicong Guo, Manager of Medical Strategy and Liaison; Jin Du, Senior HR Manager; Ningchao Li, Director of HR; and Daifang Wang.
The meeting covered the company profile, personnel recruitment, and new drug research and development, attracting over 20 teachers and students from various colleges including the School of Life Science, School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute, College of Modern Agriculture, College of Future Technology, College of Basic Medicine, and College of Pharmacy.
Fuming Xu explained the drug research and development process, highlighting the development and principles of PROTAC in simple terms. New drug R&D is lengthy, involving target discovery, drug screening, pre-clinical verification, and clinical trials. Only drugs that pass these stages can be approved for market release. PROTAC is a protein degradation technology that effectively degrades target proteins. Fuming Xu's team established a comprehensive PROTAC technology platform and made progress in breast cancer and other diseases.
After the meeting, students seized the opportunity to ask the guests questions on the details of drug research and development, recruitment positions, and the nature of work. While patiently answering questions, the guests also shared more workplace experiences with the students.
