About us

Who We Are

Undergraduate Honors Program in Biology (UHPB) is a dedicated undergraduate research program organized by School of Life Sciences, Peking University, aiming to nurture the next-generation top-notch biomedical researchers in the coming age. Since its foundation in 2010, UHPB has been providing excellent opportunities for undergraduates to engage reading original research articles, discussion of basic research topics with experts, get involved in first-hand research experiences in the lab of different fields. UHPB supports students in the program to receive scientific training in word-class labs domestic or abroad including PKU, Tsinghua, NIBS, CAS, Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, MIT, Duke, and UCSD. Currently a group of ~ 70 undergraduates highly motivated in conducting researches are active in this program.

北京大学生命科学强化挑战班的目标是为选拔进入该项目的北大本科生提供充分的机会，通过强化的课程设置、富有挑战性的科研实践和顶尖科学家的直接指导等手段，力争使其培养成生命科学领域的拔尖和特色人才，成长为未来生命科学领域的国际一流科学家。从2010年创立至今已经八年，许多优秀的毕业生前往清华、北大、中科院、哈佛、MIT、斯坦福、耶鲁等世界顶级研究所继续接受博士研究生的训练。
